    Leicestershire Police notified us early today (Wednesday) about a serious incident their officers attended in Welwyn Road, Hinckley. We understand that three people were subsequently confirmed dead inside a property there and a fourth person was taken to hospital injured.     "At this stage we are not going to give any details of the names of the children or the male," he said. 

    "All I can say is they are both of school age."

    Police negotiators spoke to a man and a woman for several hours before gaining access to the property. 

    A woman emerged with injuries in the early hours of the morning. 

    The police then got inside the house and discovered the man and two children dead inside.
