    A group of about 300 students from various political societies at the University of Leicester have spent the night watching the results come in at a pub on London Road.

    Max Longley is Secretary of the American Studies Society and says: "Trump's appeal has been someone from outside politics - he's very much in the business world.

    "You hear people, especially in Ohio, saying employment is poor and they believe Trump from a business point of view is able to boost this."
