    A lot of you on Facebook , externalhave been commenting on a story we ran yesterday about thieves breaking into the Woodside RSPCA charity shop in Wigston.

    Karin Sennet-fall said: "I donate regularly to the RSPCA, bric a brac and clothing etc. Why don't we all have a little extra de-clutter and see if we can find something to donate?"

    Gwendolyn King said: "Thoughtless idiots hope they get caught and made to do free work for Woodside - but won't hold my breath."

    Turkeys at a Leicestershire farm spending their last few days inside...before Christmas.

    It's to keep them safe from the H5N8 bird flu strain which has been found in poultry and wild birds in 14 countries including Germany and France.

    Police have said an 89-year-old woman sustained "serious injuries" in a crash in Ravenstone, external yesterday afternoon.

    She was a passenger in a car that collided with a van on the A447 Wash Lane.

    Last night they reported she was in hospital in a critical condition.

    The news about child abuse at British football clubs has been quickly unfolding over the past few weeks and now Leicester City has had its name brought up.

    According to this article in The Times, external (behind paywall) the FA will look at two claims involving scout Ted Langford who had connections to the Foxes.

    Langford was jailed in 2007 for the sexual abuse of four young players in the 1970s and 1980s. 

    The paper claims this new investigation will look at how much was known about his behaviour at the time.
