    Co-ordinating all the groups involved in this project was an organisation called One Roof Leicester.

    Ben Brown is from One Roof and said they had 18 referrals last night but only managed to provide beds for 10 of them.

    He said there are 46 rough sleepers in the city at the moment.

    Leicester's winter night shelter for the homeless spent its first night in operation last night.

    Over 200 people from faith groups in the city have come together and pooled their resources to improve the service. 

    The shelter is rotated around seven venues and provides emergency accommodation and food to homeless people.

    Simon Hill from Broughton Astley has been a Foxes fan for over 40 years and is currently in Seville on holiday with his family.

    He said the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadiumis "unreal" and that it's "a really family-orientated place".

    The Tourist Board in Seville has said the city is looking forward to hosting Leicester fans in the last 16 of the Champions League next year.

    These two men have been jailed for 10 years each for assaulting a man on Barclay Street, external in Leicester.

    Brett Johnson, who lived on Fosse Road South, and Liam Turner from McVickers Close attacked a man in June leaving him with fractures to his face, eye socket and jaw.

    Police have just told us about a man who pleaded guilty to raping a woman in Bede Park in Leicester.

    Michal Cezary Podlaszczyk admitted several charges against him, including three counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of assault.

    It happened on the morning of 29 October.

    We've been in touch with the man DMU is taking legal action against - Nick Langton.

    The Beaumont Town licensee said he was first made aware of the legal proceedings today.  

    Mr Langton said: "We had a club meeting a couple of weeks ago with members, and there was a unanimous vote for me and the general committee to stay on. 

    "That included a commitment for me to continue working with De Montfort University and move things forward."

    De Montfort University says it believes Nick Langton to be in breach of the licence, external and no longer wishes to work with him.

    It said it has offered to help with the setting up of a new board with a "properly constituted BTFC".
