Labour held on to three Nottingham City Council seats following by-elections yesterday.
Nick Raine was elected in the Basford ward, while Georgia Power won Bestwood and Cheryl Barnard took Bulwell Forest, all three with sizeable majorities.
Turnout was poor in all wards, with just 16% voting in Bestwood, 17.5% in Basford and 24% in Bulwell Forest.
And it was a disappointing night for David Bishop who came out of retirement to stand for the Bus Pass Elvis Party. He clocked just 34 votes, coming last in Bestwood.
