    Police investigating a stabbing in Leicester have arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

    The teenager was arrested yesterday and has since been released on bail. A 16-year-old boy has also been arrested and was released on bail earlier this week.

    The stabbing happened in the Braunstone area of the city on Friday 28 December.

    A 40-year-old man is due to appear before magistrates charged with attempted murder after a stabbing at a house in Nottingham.

    It's after a 47-year-old woman was stabbed at a property in the Bobbers Mill area early yesterday morning.

    The victim remains in hospital in a "serious but stable" condition.

    Police searching for a man in connection with violent offences in Nottingham have arrested a 23-year-old man.

    Officers were looking for Shekeil Sands after affray incidents in Bulwell on 5 November and Lenton on 11 November 2018.

    Police are still asking for help to find 21-year-old Leshae Traynor (pictured) from Brindley Road in the city.

    This crash is the result of a "driver swerving to miss a rabbit", police said.

    The car hit a wall in Owler Bar in the Peak District. Both driver and rabbit were uninjured.

    The fire service has confirmed four fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and a command support unit has been sent to the restaurant fire that has closed Humberstone Road in Leicester.

    The service said it received "several calls" reporting fire and smoke seen from about 08:20 this morning.

    When crews arrived the fire in the single storey building was "well established" in the kitchen and store room.

    Firefighters have requested further assistance from gas and electricity companies Cadent and Western Power.

    Police have said the 16-year-old from Old Dalby near Melton Mowbray was found in the New Parks area of Leicester.
