Staff and pupils at a school in Derbyshire have been advised to quarantine for two weeks following contact with a family who lost a relative after contracting coronavirus.
Fairfield Endowed Junior School in Buxton closed as a precaution on Monday.
It had been the first day schools were opened just for the children of "key workers" and for a range of vulnerable groups, including those with special educational needs and in contact with social services.
An official statement from the school, which has 198 pupils, said: "FEJS closed on Monday after we were told that one of our school community had been in contact with a family where a family member had died after contracting coronavirus.
"This isn't a direct contact but it is one which we are taking very seriously.
"All staff and pupils were sent home yesterday afternoon and advised to quarantine for 14 days."
On Monday evening, Boris Johnson announced a near complete lockdown of the UK to prevent the spread of the virus, but schools remain open for a minority of pupils.
Alchemilla says it wants to "give back to the community" and help customers who have supported it.

Shirebrook-based Sports Direct performed a U-turn this morning on keeping its shops open during the coronavirus lockdown following a backlash over its proposals.
The retailer initially said it would remain open as it was "uniquely well-placed to help keep the UK as fit and healthy as possible".
But it now says it will not open "until we are given the go-ahead by the government".
Sports Direct's initial plan to stay open drew widespread criticism on social media and from employees, who told the PA news agency they feel "disappointed".
A worker, who wished to remain anonymous, said they have worked at the company since they were 16 and now have a young family.
"I cuddled a scared and confused five-year-old to bed last night knowing that his mum and dad could risk potentially bringing in the virus for the sake of some fitness equipment," they said.
"I am disappointed (the announcement to close stores to the public) has not come from the company itself and am worried they find another loophole to continue us working. I have had no contact from them as of yet."
Armed with machetes, axes and crowbars, they stole £1.5m worth of goods.

"It keeps people in shape and focused on something, and they can talk with each other and support each other," she says.
"We've already got a nice little group but other people are welcome to join us."

A woman has filled an old fridge freezer with books, DVDs and games to keep children occupied during the coronavirus pandemic.
Jeni Atkinson has set up the "activity fridge" outside her home in Beeston, which also contains books for adults.
Schools across the UK have now closed to most pupils because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Ms Atkinson said many of the items had belonged to her children and she had been planning to donate them to a charity shop.
"I had seen posts on social media about people putting box libraries outside their houses and it gave me the idea of extending this to other things like the games, activities and DVDs," she said.
"So, I cleaned up the old fridge freezer from my garage and filled it up."
Ms Atkinson said neighbours had offered to donate more items but said the fridge was now "absolutely rammed".
"We've had our first visitors this morning who messaged me to say they'd taken a couple of books and a DVD and thanked me for the idea," she added.
Ms Atkinson said she disinfected the fridge and made sure she washed her hands before stocking it up. She said she's also been "very strictly" following the social distancing advice.
