    Here's one of the jets undergoing some TLC at the training camp in Greece today - the team should be back at RAF Scampton in the next few weeks.

    A robber who raided two Grimsby bookmakers in less than a week has been jailed for nine years.

    Joshua Dempsey, 25, of Convamore Road, Grimsby was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court yesterday.

    Dempsey admitted robbing Betfred branches in Ladysmith Road and Laceby Road in early December as well as two counts of being in possession of a knife, three counts of criminal damage and affray.

    Associated British Ports who own the landmark helped the town's St Andrew's Hospice last night by projecting the logo of its new Under One Roof campaign onto the brick work.

    Lincolnshire swimmer Lizzie Simmonds has missed out on selection for the Rio Olympics later this year.

    Lizzie, from Lincoln, competed in both the Beijing and London games, finishing fourth in one of the finals.

    At the recent trials she won the 200 metres backstroke and finished second in the 100 metres backstroke but failed to swim the qualifying time in either.

    Here's a sign that summer's on the way - Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft in the skies over Lincolnshire.

    The BBMF based at RAF Coningsby has been testing the Dakota and Battle of Britain fighters. And they were caught in action yesterday by BBC Weather Watcher Darren Smart.

    Plans for a hotel and fast food development will go on display on the Lincolnshire coast today. 

    Premier Inn and KFC want to build on the Pier Field on Skegness seafront.

    East Lindsey District Council has faced criticism of its handling of the sale of the site.

    Campaigners say the land should be protected for community use.  

  12. Mental health trust report: Safety of patients 'inadequate'published at 09:51 British Summer Time 21 April 2016

    Overall safety at the trust which provides mental health services in Lincolnshire has been found to be inadequate. 

    The findings are from a report by the Care Quality Commission published this morning about the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust.

    The trust runs services for patients across the county including at Long Leys Court in Lincoln (pictured above). 

    The CQC's overall verdict on the trust is that it "requires improvement".

    She doesn't look it does she? But Irene Skipworth turns 90 today on the same day as Her Majesty, The Queen.

    Irene told me she feels more like she's 60 than 90 and says she's proud to be sharing her special day with the monarch.

    Irene's lived her whole life in Spalding and plans to celebrate with a cake complete with 90 candles.

  14. Fire on residential street caused by 'discarded smoking materials'published at 09:13 British Summer Time 21 April 2016

    A blaze that destroyed three cars and the car port they were standing under was caused by a smouldering cigarette, fire fighters have revealed.

    The fire broke out at around 16.00 in Webb Street in the lower High Street area of Lincoln last night.

    Fire crews from both of the city's stations and a crew from North Hykeham attended the scene. Nobody was injured.

    The work to replace a collapsed sewer on one of the main roads to the coast is causing problems again.  

    There's very slow traffic on A158 Church Street in Wragby at the A157 Louth Road junction. It's expected to be a problem for most of the day.

    Services at a Lincolnshire hospital continue to be disrupted following a fire which broke out on Tuesday night. 

    Operations are cancelled today at Grantham Hospital after an electrical fire in the basement.

    A&E is partially open to non-urgent conditions although serious cases will be taken by ambulance to other hospitals.
