Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was reportedly pushed to the ground this morning and had her handbag stolen on Agnes Street.
It happened at around 10:30am, the woman is being treated for an injury to the head.
A section of Castlegate has been closed off and a 29-year-old has been arrested.

Not everything went to plan for the city of Lincoln's MP Karl McCartney during his Vote Leave tour yesterday.
The aim was to travel across various different locations across the county canvassing support as they went. It all started well enough in Lincoln:
But while heading to Grantham a large stone, shot from under the tyre of a lorry, smashed the windscreen of the VW Campaign bus, affectionately named "Albert".
Whilst the tour had to end there for Mr McCartney, other members of the Vote Leave carried on, eventually completing the tour in Sleaford.

Fans from across the Continent are at the tournament to see their teams compete and it's only right that Lincolnshire is represented as well.
This was taken just before France v Albania.
Apparently the flag drew some blank stares, even from other English fans!

Fan violence has dominated a lot of the coverage of the Euros with the news today that at least 36 have been arrested in clashes with French police in Lille.
But one fan from Stamford who's there says that reports of violence in the town have been exaggerated by the media.
