    Three people have been shot dead in Spalding this morning.

    Police say the incident is not terrorism-related.

    The gunman shot two people dead and then turned the weapon on himself.

    • Police responded to the incident at around 09:00.
    • Gunman is one of those dead.
    • Incident is not terrorist related, no shots were fired at officers.
    • The public is to told to stay away from the area.

    Police dealing with the fatal shooting of three people in Spalding this morning want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

    Two people were shot dead before the gunman turned the firearm on himself.

    The shootings happened on Pinchbeck Road around 09:00.

    Police investigating the fatal shooting of three people in Spalding this morning have cordoned of the scene at Pinchbeck Road.

    Two people were shot by a gunman who then turned the weapon on himself.

    People are being to to stay away from the scene - it is not being related to terrorism.

    More on the fatal shooting of two people in Spalding this morning and the gunman who then killed himself.

    Police said they were called to Pinchbeck Road in Spalding around 09:00.

    Officers said they did not fire any shots at the scene and it is not being treated as a terrorism incident.

    We've been speaking to Nigel Chapman, the Editor of the Spalding Voice, external, who's been at the scene of an incident in Spalding. 

    He says witness he's spoken to say they heard the sound of a bird scarer and a gunshot.

    None of this has been confirmed but as you can see a lot of emergency vehicles are in attendance.

    It's hoped newly-qualified drivers in Lincolnshire will be better prepared under changes to the driving test. 

    The proposals will see learner drivers having to use Sat-Nav during their test and perform 20m minutes of independent driving. 

    The three point turn and reverse around a corner will also be scrapped, not sure they'll be missed to be honest!

    Lincolnshire police are currently on Pinchbeck Road near the swimming pool after they received a report just after 09:00 of a person injured.

    A 26-year-old man from Hull has died after being involved in a crash on the M180 westbound just prior to junction 3 near Scunthorpe.

    The incident involved two lorries at 17:25 yesterday.

    The other driver involved in the crash, a 45-year-old man from the Immingham area was not injured.

    Police want to speak to any witnesses.

    Lincoln will keep its 24-hour fire station under new proposals. 

    Fire officials wanted to man Lincoln's South Park station with only on-call crew overnight - to save £1.5m. But campaigners said it would put lives at risk.

    A new agreement's been reached which will save the same amount of money. 

    But it means the county's other eight fire stations will lose one firefighter each.

    The renewal of the Trident nuclear weapons system has been backed in the commons by 427 votes to 117.

    As expected, all of our MPs voted to approve the manufacture of four replacement submarines at the estimated cost of £31bn.

    Labour was split over the issue with 140 of its 230 MPs going against leader Jeremy Corbyn and backing the motion.

    I could feel the sun pounding on the back of my neck yesterday and I was only walking around, so I feel for the folks at Louth Fire Station.

    They've raised over £2000 for the Fire Fighters charity completing a huge 18 hour slog across the county.

    A fairly standard start to the morning with some congestion on the A46 to kick off. 

    It's stretching from Winthorpe near the western border of the county all the way towards Lincoln. 

    You're probably going to struggle to avoid it if you're heading into the city from Nottinghamshire so allow some extra time.
