    I've been speaking to a man who arrived at the scene shortly after the shootings and saw the authorities taking the bodies away.

    Spalding High School where Charlotte Hart had been a pupil issued this tribute:

    "We are all deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of our former student, Charlotte Hart. 

    She was an exemplary student in every way, who showed incredible kindness and empathy towards others.  

    "Charlotte had many close friends and her polite and caring nature endeared her to all who met her. It is our students who make Spalding High School such a unique and special place to be and to lose Charlotte is devastating to us all.

    Our thoughts and sincerest condolences are with Charlotte’s brothers, her family and friends at this time."

    Gun victim Charlotte Hart, 19, (pictured) was training to be a midwife when she was shot and killed yesterday by a man believed to be her own father.

    Her former secondary school, Spalding High School, has told us she was "incredibly driven to achieve her dream" and excelled academically.

    Charlotte died with her mother Claire Hart after being shot at Castle Sports Complex in Spalding.

    Lance Hart, 57, died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds at the scene.

    Charlotte had moved to Northampton University where she was continuing her studies.  

  5. Spalding shootings: 'We'll pull together' says town's vicarpublished at 11:20 British Summer Time 20 July 2016

    The vicar of Spalding, the Reverend John Bennett, said the church was ready to help those shocked by the killings.

    "I'm sure that as a community we will actually pull together and give the help and support that's needed for people involved with this.

    "We'll be looking at whether we do something actually in the church over next few days, or whether we do something specifically on Sunday.

    "It's just not the sort of thing you expect to happen in a small market town anywhere in the country, let alone in Lincolnshire."

    After the initial shock, social media posts show reactions to the deaths of a mother and daughter in Spalding.

    The BBC understands Claire Hart, 50, and her daughter Charlotte Hart, 19, were fatally shot near the Castle Sports swimming pool on Tuesday.

    Lance Hart, 57, is understood to have then shot himself at the scene.

    Two cars have now been taken away from the Castle Sports Complex, the scene of yesterday's shooting.

    Three members of a family were killed in a shooting near the Castle Sports swimming pool in Lincolnshire.

    The BBC understands Claire Hart, 50, and her daughter Charlotte Hart, 19, were killed in the shooting in Spalding.

    Lance Hart, 57, is understood to have then shot himself at the scene.

    Police say post-mortem examinations on all three bodies are due to begin later today.

  10. Spalding shootings: Neighbour tells of 'caring' manpublished at 10:02 British Summer Time 20 July 2016

    Investigators raided the family home in Hatt Close, Moulton, where one neighbour described gunman Lance Hart as "always caring" and a "very nice guy." 

    Lance Hart shot his wife and 19-year-old daughter in Spalding on Tuesday before turning the gun on himself.

    I'm near the scene in Spalding this morning where three members of a family were killed in a shooting near a swimming pool yesterday.

    Lance Hart, 57, his wife Claire Hart, 50, and their daughter Charlotte Hart, 19, were killed in the incident. Police aren't looking for anyone else over the deaths.

    Looking at the scene now, the police cordon is still in place and I can see the tops of the two white tents placed where the incident happened while police continue their investigations.

    The town of Spalding, meanwhile, remains in shock at what's happened, with the Vicar of Spalding, the Reverend John Bennett, telling BBC Radio Lincolnshire of his disbelief at the events.

    A neighbour has told of his shock after a 57-year-old man shot his wife and daughter before killing himself in Spalding on Tuesday.

    The BBC understands the gunman was Lance Hart who is believed to have worked at a builders merchant.

    Hours after the  deaths police raided the family's home in Hatt Close, Moulton, about five miles from the centre of Spalding.

    Last time I spoke to him, he had put the house on the market because they were hoping to downsize, buy somewhere in the village. He was a very nice guy, he went out of his way to be helpful so it comes as a great shock.

    I'm back in Spalding today after the shocking triple shooting yesterday morning.

    The BBC understands the gunman was Lance Hart who used a shotgun to kill his wife Claire and daughter Charlotte before killing himself

    Claire and Lance were both in their 50s and Charlotte was 19-years-old.
