  1. Warning of overnight closures on Lincoln bypasspublished at 11:23 British Summer Time 20 October 2016

    A stretch of the Lincoln bypass will close overnight next week for resurfacing work.

    The northbound carriageway between the Carholme roundabout and the Riseholme roundabout will be shut between 20.00 and 05.00 from 24 October to 4 November.

    Lincolnshire County Council says a diversion route will be signposted during the work.

    An expanded service to tackle drug and alcohol misuse across Lincolnshire is to be launched today. 

    Existing provider, Addaction, has been recommissioned by Lincolnshire County Council along with another specialist charity - Double Impact.

    It's been revealed that North East Lincolnshire Council has voted in favour of becoming part of a Greater Lincolnshire Authority

    If the plans are approved then more decisions would be made locally rather than by politicians in London.

    The 30-5 vote in favour of devolution came at a meeting last night.

    Later today Lincolnshire county councillors will vote on whether they want to be a part of a Greater Lincolnshire Authority.

    The Greater Lincolnshire combined authority represents North Lincolnshire Council, North East Lincolnshire Council, Lincolnshire County Council, City of Lincoln Council, North Kesteven District Council, South Kesteven District Council, West Lindsey District Council, East Lindsey District Council, Boston Borough Council and South Holland District Council.

    The pair shown were stopped by a member of staff when it was realised they weren't students.

    Later it was discovered that a purse was missing from an office. If you recognise either of them call police on 101.

    The incident happened at about 17.45 on Monday 19 September.

    A man has died after two vehicles collided on the A16 near Boston.

    The 61-year-old man, who lived in the area was driving a black Honda Civic around midnight.

    His passenger, a local woman aged 31, suffered serious injuries. 

    A man driving the other vehicle involved, a silver Volvo also suffered very serious injuries.

    They've both been taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.
