  4. Village store damaged in ATM theftpublished at 17:15 British Summer Time 8 April 2019

    The picture below shows the damage done to a shop by thieves who stole the store's ATM machine in the early hours of this morning.

    Officers were called to the Co-Operative store on the High Street in Scotter at 02:34.

    It's believed a silver Ford Transit van and a telehandler were used to remove the machine from the wall.

    The digger was left behind at the scene and the van, including the ATM, was found abandoned in Burringham.

    There aren't enough security staff at Lincolnshire's hospitals and other staff are having to stand in, the BBC understands.

    The staff are expected to deal with all incidents, including violence, at sites in Boston, Lincoln and Grantham.

    An inquest has opened into the deaths of three teenagers in a car crash at Welton Cliff, north of Lincoln.

    The inquest heard 17-year-old Ricky Sharp and Joby John Scrimshaw, who was 14, died at the scene of the crash on Monday 25 March.

    A third boy, Aiden Sawyer, who was 17, was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, but died of head injuries two days later.

    Toxicology reports are due on all three of the victims.

    The coroner Tim Brennand was told the car the teenagers were travelling in lost control and went sideways into a field, on Heath Lane, near RAF Scampton.

    The inquest has been adjourned until 16 September.

    Plans to transform a former chalk quarry in Lincolnshire into a tourist destination have been approved.

    Stoneledge Holdings want to build 32 holiday lodges at Grasby.

    The plans also include a shop for basic supplies.

    According to the Local Democarcy Reporting Service, Lincolnshire County Council had no objection to the development.

    The proposals also includes measures to protect biodiversity and wildlife.

    West Lindsey District Council has approved the plans.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after an ATM was stolen in Lincolnshire.

    A new footbridge, to help pedestrians cross the railway line, has been moved into place in Lincoln.

    More than 27,000 visitors have been to see the Museum of the Moon exhibition at the Collection in Lincoln since it opened, it's been revealed.

    The venue says it is the most successful exhibition it has ever held.

    The giant moon, measuring 6m in diameter, features detailed Nasa imagery of the lunar surface.

    It remains on show until Sunday 28 April.

    It's hoped more young people will be able to get into agriculture in Lincolnshire after a farm was left to the county's agricultural society.

    A campaign to raise awareness of a system to help people alert officers if they're in danger but unable to speak is being supported by Lincolnshire Police.

    The Silent Solution system prompts the caller on a mobile to press "55" if they aren't in a position to make a noise.
