    A motorcyclist has died after crashing on a stretch of the A63 which passes beneath the Humber Bridge.

    It's thought the 56-year-old lost control of his bike and crashed into the central reservation at about 20:15 on Saturday.

    Humberside Police would like to speak to anyone who was travelling on the A63 in Hull around that time.

    Jordan O'Brien (pictured), 25, died in hospital after suffering serious injuries at a property on Scampton Way in Gainsborough, on 27 March.

    Kieron Walker, 22, from Auckley, Doncaster, has been charged with murder and possession of a machete in public.

    A 21-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

    During the past year, staff there have welcomed more than 100,000 visitors.

    Managers say the centre, which opened last year, has surpassed their expectations.

    The centre remembers the thousands of crew who served in Bomber Command during World War Two.

    It includes a memorial spire and peace garden.

    Lincolnshire Police say they want to speak to him after a man went into Tesco in Market Rasen, filled a trolley with food and walked out without paying.

    When staff approached the man, he abandoned the trolley and ran off.

    The attempted theft happened three weeks ago, on Friday 22 March.

    Police are asking for anyone with information about his identity to get in touch.

    12-year-old Holly Pavey, from Horncastle, has made banners in an effort to take active steps to tackle the problem.

    Holly said: "I really wanted to get involved because it's such a big crisis.

    "We need to take action because we only have six to twelve years to undo what we've already done."

    Holly's protest is part of a wider global movement, known as Schools 4 Climate Action.

    Tens of thousands of children across Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Australia have been inspired to hold their own demonstrations.

    Mr Jones told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Upskirting is unacceptable. Today's news is a good step forward."

    Gina Martin, who led the calls for change after being targeted at a music festival, said she hoped the introduction of a new law would help people "feel comfortable" to report such crimes.

    The life and work of a writer who was educated in Hull and Barton upon Humber is to be celebrated ahead of the 50th anniversary of Get Carter, the classic film based on one of his books.

    Ted Lewis, who has been described as an "amazing artistic polymath" and who also worked as an artist on the Beatles' Yellow Submarine film, died in 1982 but would have been 80 next year.

    A national year-long celebration is planned, but there are also calls for an exhibition of his art at Baysgarth House where he was educated as a pupil of Barton Grammar School.

    Biographer Monty Martin (pictured) said: "He was an innovator, he was a polymath, he loved Barton and he wrote so beautifully about Barton."

    Ella Wydrzynska, from Reepham near Lincoln, will present her own programme after beating more than 150 other hopefuls.

    The 22-year-old postgraduate student, who specialises in children's literature, attended Cherry Willingham School.

    Her monologue on village life persuaded the judges to put her through to the final audition.

    A car parking firm is facing fresh criticism over a new system introduced at Lincolnshire's hospitals.

    ParkingEye launched a new automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system to replace barriers last November.

    Campaigner Sue Quinn says, in one case, a driver was wrongly given four penalty charges.

    She's meeting hospital managers later today to discuss her concerns.

    Car parking fees were temporarily waived last year because of technical problems.

    The hospitals trust hasn't been available to comment today.

    Earlier this year, it said the system was: "Highly accurate, fair and transparent."
