Thea Lauryn Chippendale, 20, received a message from a man who described the outfit as a "charity shop job".
The dress is from Asos and the company is now using the very same photo to help sell the outfit on its website.
Thea, from Lincoln, told Radio 1 Newsbeat: "I'm absolutely gobsmacked that they've actually done it."
The Conservatives have maintained control of South Kesteven District Council despite losing five seats.
Overall the Tories, who have been in control since 2003, secured 40 of the 56 seats on the council, though leader, Matthew Lee, came within a whisker of losing his Stamford St Mary's seat to fellow Conservative David Taylor.
Liberal Democrat Harrish Bisnauthsing secured 623 votes, Mr Lee polled 617 and Mr Taylor received 610.
A foot found in a village on the outskirts of Grimsby was female and likely to have been deliberately dismembered, police have revealed.
The discovery was made by a woman walking her dog on the Peaks Parkway Path in New Waltham, North East Lincolnshire, last month.
Det Ch Insp Al Curtis said pathologists believed the foot had been dismembered in the past year.
The woman was over the age of 16 and about 5ft 2in (1.6m) tall, he said.
Extensive searches of the area have been carried out after the body part was found on a path, near the old railway track at Louth Road, at about 06:45 BST on 25 April.

The 18-year-old victim was walking along Colville Terrace at about 20:30 on Thursday 25 April when she was approached by two men.
They restrained her and bundled her into the boot of their car before driving around the town for a short time and stopping in an alleyway near Linden Terrace, just off Trinity Street.
They left the vehicle and the young girl managed to get out of the unlocked car.
Det Sgt Andy Hime said: "I've certainly never heard of an occurrence like this. It's extremely unusual and that's why we're so keen to get to the bottom of it."
Detectives are asking motorists with dash-cams to check footage.
A woman was restrained and bundled into the boot of a car by two men while walking along a street in Gainsborough, police have said.
The abduction happened in Colville Terrace near Tesco, at about 20:30 on 25 April.
The 18-year-old managed to escape unhurt after the car stopped in a nearby alleyway before leaving the area, according to police.
Detectives say the victim has been left "upset" and "distressed".
Officers urged anyone with information to get in touch.
