    A government minister says he "recognises the passion" campaigners have to keep the Red Arrows in Lincolnshire, but no formal decision has been made on their new base as yet.

    The government confirmed the closure of RAF Scampton last year, throwing the future of the historic site - once home to the Dambusters squadron - and the Red Arrows into doubt.

    Stuart Andrew MP, minister for defence procurement, said he was considering all options.

    RAF Waddington, also in Lincolnshire, is on the shortlist of sites where the team could be relocated to.

    Alongside Waddington, RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire and RAF Wittering in Cambridgeshire are the two other possible locations for the Reds.
