Police say the 18-year-old died when a car collided with a lorry on the A18 in Scunthorpe.

A teenager who died in a crash on the A18 in Scunthorpe has been named by police.

Adam Simms, 18, died in a collision between a blue Hyundai and a red lorry on Mortal Ash Hill just before 09:00 on Friday, according to Humberside Police.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken with us to get in touch.

"If you saw either the collision itself, the vehicles before the collision or if you have dash-cam footage showing the moments before or after, please contact police."

The squadron, which is currently based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, has been practising routines in Greece.

Following an assessment, the team has been cleared to perform at air shows, the Royal Air Force said.

After the pandemic forced event organisers to cancel dates last year, Sqn Ldr Steve Morris said they hoped they would "more than make up for it".

The team is scheduled to perform at the Battle of Britain Airshow in June as well as the British Grand Prix in Silverstone on 18 July.

Their opening display of the new season will be on 4 June at the Midlands Air Festival - the first event of a four-month summer campaign spanning the UK and mainland Europe.

The 2021 show features several new moves and shapes, the RAF added.

The aerobatic team - formed in 1964 - is due to move to RAF Waddington in 2022.

Six people or two households can now meet indoors, with overnight stays allowed.

Pubs, cafes and restaurants can serve customers indoors. The region's cinemas, theatres, museums and tourist attractions are also re-opening.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: "Together we have reached another milestone in our roadmap out of lockdown, but we must take this next step with a heavy dose of caution."

Ahead of the reopening of indoor hospitality today John Senior, who chairs South Bay Traders' Association in Scarborough, said there was an appetite for the "familiarity" of English resorts.
