Rural communities are being asked to help the fire service following a series of arson attacks in East Riding and North Lincolnshire.
As wheat crops are harvested and stored, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service says it needs help limiting deliberate fires.
This means farmers are asked to move hay and straw into secure buildings away from livestock and fuel.
It also asks for regular checks of firefighting equipment at farms and making sure rubbish is cleared away to stop the temptation for arsonists.
Police are appealing for the public's help after reports of a man pointing a gun in a Spalding street.
Officers are investigating after reports one of two men pointed a handgun at a motorist as they drove their vehicle along Hereward Road on Tuesday between 19:40 and 19:45.
No-one was injured.
A police helicopter helped search the area for the two men.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested and released under investigation.
Police are appealing for information on the identity of the second man, described as white, in his 30s, wearing a black baseball cap and with tattoos on his arm.
They believe the man in the image can help with enquiries.
A Lincolnshire MP says the UK is heading for a general election - the day after it leaves the EU.
Nick Boles, the independent MP for Grantham and Stamford, made the claim in a letter to Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Lincoln Business Improvement Group's (BIG) 1940s celebrations saw the city decorated with patriotic bunting.
The group also encouraged shops and cafes to ask staff to dress 1940s style while shop windows were dressed in keeping with the event.
Hundreds of people turned up to listen to favourite wartime songs, visit antique and craft stalls and meet up with old friends.
Workshops and office spaces could be installed inside Lincoln's indoor market in a bid to secure its future.
The City Council says it's looking at how the Central Market building can be improved.
The authority has promised to keep a market on site as well and says it will be asking stallholders what can be done to attract more businesses and visitors.
Underwater search teams are currently carrying out an operation at the Sincil Bank Drain in Lincoln.
It comes after a man in his 20s was stabbed in the area last night.
Police say he has non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information about the incident is being asked to contact police.

Nationally, there's been a small increase in the GCSE pass rate, despite the introduction of harder exams.
The pass rate edged up to 67.3% in England, Wales and Northern Ireland - up 0.4 percentage points on last year.
The percentage of papers given a top grade (7 or A and above) rose 0.3 percentage points to 20.8% on 2018.

The Lincolnshire Rural Support Network says it has seen a 30% rise in the number of agricultural workers seeking help for mental health issues in the past year.
The new team member will tackle the lack of mental health resources available in remote locations, the charity says.
Lincolnshire could help the UK become more self-sufficient after Brexit, according to a farming expert.
Consultant Martin Collison, from Lincolnshire, advises farmers and the government about agriculture and food.
He says: "I think there's real potential for Lincolnshire to produce more salads, vegetables, fruit, those types of crops.
"They are in demand. We import lots of those products at the moment," he adds.
A 19-year-old Lincolnshire school child care trainee has pleased guilty to nine offences of making indecent photographs of a child.
Lincolnshire Police say some images were taken at a primary school in the county between May and July this year.
Lewis Croft, of Cliff Road, Welton, was arrested after police were tipped off by an American law enforcement agency that illegal images were being downloaded at his address.
Appearing at Lincoln Magistrates' Court yesterday, he pleaded guilty to nine offences, three of which relate to taking indecent photographs at a Lincolnshire primary school.
Croft has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at a later date.
According to Lincolnshire Police, Croft was on a school placement as part of a training course in child care.
The victims of a fatal crash near Barrow upon Humber in North Lincolnshire last week have been named by police.
Jean Kay, 70, and Richard Kay, 44, both died after the car they were in collided with another vehicle on the B1206 near the junction of Thornton Street and Wold Road last Friday afternoon.
Specially trained officers are supporting their family, according to Humberside Police.
A man's in hospital after being stabbed in Lincoln late last night.
Police say they were called to Walnut Place in the Sincil Bank area of the city at about 23:30.
The victim, who's in his 20s, was found with stab wounds, but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Lincolnshire Police say several cordons are in place in the area and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
