The road was closed in both directions between the Carholme and Riseholme roundabouts following the collision which happened just before 21:00 last night.

Lincolnshire County Council says work is continuing to repair the barrier on the A46 Lincoln Bypass.
It was damaged when a car transporter overturned between the Carholme and Riseholme roundabouts last night.
The authority says it’s also dealing with a fuel spillage on the road.
Motorists are still having to find an alternative route with delays being reporting around the city.
The A46 Lincoln Bypass has now been closed for about 17 hours after a car transporter overturned last night.
Emergency repairs are being carried between the Carholme and Riseholme roundabouts.
The closure has led to major delays on many roads in the Lincoln area.
It was hoped the road would re-open at lunchtime, but it’s still shut.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
As well as the A46 being closed, misty conditions have added to drivers' misery around Lincoln this morning.
Things might improve slightly this afternoon.

Motorists in the Lincoln area are waiting to see if the A46 Lincoln Bypass will re-open this lunchtime.

As well as the A46 Lincoln Bypass being closed, there have been two other traffic problems in the Lincoln area this morning.
Further disruption has been caused on the B1190 at Doddington due to a lorry having slid off the road while travelling over the bridge.
Two vehicles were also involved in a collision on Long Leys Road.
No-one was injured in either incident.

The closure of the A46 Lincoln Bypass has led to some people abandoning their cars and walking into the city instead.

Lincolnshire Police say they expect the A46 between Riseholme Road and Carholme Road to remain closed until mid-morning.

A white Scania car transporter which was carrying 10 brand new vehicles overturned.
No one was injured in the crash.
The road has to remain closed while damage caused to the carriageway and central reservation is assessed and repaired.
