  1. Boris Johnson defends PM's controversial 'terrorist sympathisers' commentpublished at 09:58

    Speaking from Paris where he is attending a world leaders' climate summit, the mayor told BBC Radio London the prime minister was right not to have apologised for describing opponents of air strikes as "terrorist sympathisers".

    He said: "If you use language about British foreign policy causing people to lay down their lives you are using the language of terrorists - you are playing the terrorists' game."

    It is "unpardonable" to seek to explain or justify terrorist acts in this way, he continued. 

    He also stressed the need for Londoners to confront and report any incidents of Islamophobia they might witness, following the Met's indication that this type of crime is rising in the capital. 

  2. Oxford Circus overcrowding: What's your experience?published at 09:37

    Figures obtained by BBC London show that Oxford Circus closed 113 times last year due to overcrowding.

  5. Islamaphobia 'more than triples' in wake of Paris attackspublished at 08:54

    The number of Muslims attacked each week in London has more than tripled since the Paris attacks, figures show.

    The Met Police said in the week prior to the terror attacks on 13 November there were 24 recorded Islamophobic incidents. Weeks after there were 76.

    Mussurut Zia from the Muslim Women's Network UK said the community was "fearful" but people of other faiths had come forward in "solidarity".

  6. Resurfacing works causing long queues in Stockwellpublished at 08:43

    The A3 Clapham Road in Stockwell is closed and there are delays northbound between Stockwell Gyratory and Kennington Oval because of over-running resurfacing work.

    Diversions are in place which is affecting the 155, N155 and 333 buses.

    Oxford Circus Tube station closes temporarily about once every three days for overcrowding, Transport for London figures show.

    The station was shut 113 times in the past 12 months because of overcrowding, TfL said. The shutters were also brought down on entrances a further 15 times for other reasons, including staffing issues and strikes, in the 12 months to October.

    Works at Tottenham Court and Bond Street Tube stations have diverted more passengers to Oxford Circus, TfL added.

  8. What will it cost to use the trains next year?published at 08:25

    You're looking at an average fare rise of 1.1% for unregulated fares - that excludes things like season tickets which we already know will rise by 1% in 2016..

    This 1.1% rise is the lowest for many years.

    M4 in Berkshire is blocked London-bound between J4B M25 and J4 A408 because of an accident and vehicle fire.
