    Laura Wade's play was turned into a film in 2014 starring Douglas Booth

    The play about a fictionalised version of the Bullingdon Club, which originally starred Kit Harington and James Norton, will return to the London stage with an all-female cast. 

    Posh, about an Oxford student dining society known as The Riot Club, was first staged at the Royal Court in 2010. 

    The show later transferred to the West End with some cast changes and was turned into a film, called The Riot Club, starring Douglas Booth, Max Irons and Sam Claflin. 

    Now Laura Wade's play based on the famous dining club of which David Cameron, George Osborne and Boris Johnson were members, will be staged by a company of all-female actors.

     It will run at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington from 29 March to 22 April with press night on 3 April.

    Some of the world's leading horologists will gather at City University in London later to celebrate the life and work of a "watch-making pioneer".

    George Daniels, who spent most of his life on the Isle of Man, was behind some of the most important advancements in the field during his 60-year career.

    After his death aged 84 in 2011 he bequeathed substantial funds to the university where he had been a student.

    The event's organiser said Dr Daniels was a "hugely inspirational" figure.

    The National Theatre in London is planning a new play portraying life in the "Jungle" migrant camp in Calais.

    The theatre is working with playwrights Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson, who built a temporary theatre in the Jungle in 2015 named Good Chance Theatre.

    Billy Elliot and The Audience director Stephen Daldry has also been involved in the play's development.

    The camp, which may have housed up to 10,000 migrants as they waited to reach the UK, has recently been demolished.

    The mayor of London has unveiled the "world's first double-decker hydrogen bus". 

    He said no more pure diesel double-deck buses would be added to London's fleet from 2018 and that all new single-decks for central London will be zero-emission.

    It is estimated that the equivalent of 9,400 premature deaths occur each year in the city due to illnesses caused by long-term exposure to air pollution, and diesel vehicles are recognised as a major contributor to pollution and associated health impacts.
