The last known sighting of Shaune Jones, aged 49 and from Eltham, south-east London, was in June 2017.
The Metropolitan Police Service described the disappearance of Mr Jones, who owned a business in Greenwich, as "out of character".
The force said the latest lead they have is that Shaune may have relocated to the south-west of England, although this has not been confirmed.
PC Jim Bennett said: "We have not given up hope in finding out where Shaune is.
"His family are desperate to hear from him and have many questions that need to be answered...
"I urge anyone who has seen him in recent years or who knows where he is, to get in touch."
This morning will start largely dry and overcast. In the afternoon, the odd patch of light rain or drizzle may drift in from the west. A moderate south-westerly wind.

Read MorePolice officers clubbed together to buy toys and games for a young boy they found alone in "tragic circumstances".
The boy, 11, was found alone in a home in Hackney on 6 February after police responded to a call raising concern.
Wanting to bring a smile to the boy's face and let him know they were thinking of him officers donated £1,000 to buy him a bike, clothes, toys, games and books. The boy has since been placed in a new home.
After finding out he was an Arsenal fan they contacted the club who also donated a replica training kit and clothing.
He was surprised with the gifts during a visit to Stoke Newington Police Station on 18 March.
Insp Gareth Wiles, said: "I am incredibly proud of my team. As response officers, we face a great many dangers every day - but this example demonstrates just how much we care and go above and beyond for the most vulnerable people out there too. I hope the actions of the team will go some way to giving this child some comfort at what is a very dark time for him."
