The first defendant, Manuel Petrovic, spent most of the week in the witness box giving evidence.

The 20-year-old admitted to the jury he drove Svenson Ong-a-Kwie and two youths to the park where Jodie was fatally stabbed on 1 March.

However, Mr Petrovic denied he was trying to "rewrite the truth" when cross-examined by Mr Ong-a-Kwie's defence barrister Charlie Sherrard QC.

He was also accused of metaphorically "trying to throw his friend [Mr Ong-a-Kwie] under a bus" - something Mr Petrovic denied again.

On Friday Mr Ong-a-Kwie became the next accused killer to give evidence after the 16-year-old defendant was not called to the witness box.

The cannabis dealer from Collier Row, told jurors had he no "beef" with any customers or other dealers and was not seeking revenge for previously being stabbed in the leg.

Asked who did stab Jodie, Mr Ong-a-Kwie named a 17-year-old co-defendant while nodding towards his direction in the dock.

Mr Sherrard QC, asked: "Were you with him at the time?"

Mr Ong-a-Kwie replied: "I was, yes."

Mr Sherrard said: "Did you have any idea anything like that was going to happen?"

    The defendant said: "No."
