In alphabetical order, they are: Tom Crone (Green Party); Jade Marsden (Conservative); Rob McAllister-Bell (Liberal Democrats); Steve Rotheram (Labour) and Ian Smith (Independent)
People living in six council areas - Liverpool, Wirral, St Helens, Knowsley, Sefton and Halton - will vote on 2 May

Hello and a very warm welcome to you all as we bring together four of the candidates hoping to be elected as mayor of the Liverpool City Region on Thursday 2 May.
