    Crime-fighting is going to become more expensive over the next decade but Norfolk Police, external must still find £12m savings up to 2020.

    Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner Stephen Bett said offenders were increasingly using computers, smart phones and other modern devices and this called for recruitment of specialist cyber-crime officers.

    "The changes up to 2020 and beyond demand a different skills set for crime fighters and this will be expensive to build and maintain," he said.

    Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy will be in the squad for the game at Manchester United tomorrow, despite an investigation by the club into an alleged scuffle in the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.

    Manager Alex Neil was keen to point out that Ruddy hadn't been found guilty of anything when I spoke to him earlier. 

    Neil has reminded his players of the responsibilities that come with being in the public eye.

    The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have arrived at Sandringham to celebrate Christmas and the New Year after travelling to King's Lynn on a train alongside commuters and other passengers.

    In a Freedom of Information request BBC Radio Norfolk asked Norfolk Constabulary, external how many of its officers were deployed on royal protection duties at Sandringham and Anmer Hall, home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

    T, externalhe force said it had to balance the public interest with the safety of the royal family and their household and turned down the request on security grounds.

    Levi Jed Murphy, the teenager at the centre of an online row with a Norwich menswear shop, is a "vlogger" with hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.

    He posts videos featuring his observations on life on social networks including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter where they regularly attract thousands of viewers.

    He is 19 and lives in Norwich.

    A shop found itself at the centre of a barrage of online criticism after a vlogger urged his followers to leave bad reviews.

    Dogfish Menswear was criticised by Levi Jed Murphy on his Facebook page, followed by nearly 416,000 people.

    But fellow businesses rallied around the Norwich store and responded with a succession of positive reviews.

  7. Ruddy remains in first team squad for Man Utd gamepublished at 10:17

    Norwich City, external goalkeeper John Ruddy is in the first team squad for the game at Old Trafford against Manchester United tomorrow, despite a disciplinary cloud hanging over his head.

    Ruddy is the subject of an internal club inquiry into reports he wasinvolved in a "scuffle"in the city's Tombland club area in the early hours of Sunday.

    Manager Alex Neil said the keeper had not been found guilty of anything and had earned a place in the squad.

    West Acre Montessori School, whose nursery Prince George will attend from January was last inspected by Ofsted on 23 June.

    The quality and standards of the early years provision were rated as good. It was also rated as good for meeting the needs of the range of children who attend and their well-being. 

    The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the early years provision also achieved a good rating.

    Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy is in the squad for tomorrow's away match against Manchester United.

    City boss Alex Neil said the player was still the subject of an internal club investigation after video footage emerged that appeared to show him in a scuffle in the city's Tombland last weekend.

    Also, the government's cash handout isn't enough to cover the shortfall in funding the police face if they are to improve services. 

    With a budget of just over £145m, the 0.7% rise is the equivalent of £1m but this money can only be raised if council tax increases, Mr Bett says.
