As a protest against William Shakespeare's refusal to put more comedy in Hamlet, the Bard's most famous tragedy, Will Kemp decided to dance all the way from London to Norwich, through Essex and Suffolk.
Of course it wasn't just a protest - it was also a fairly blatant bit of self-promotion.
With the help of actor and comedian Tim FitzHigham, Shaun Peel has been re-tracing his footsteps.

A carer from King's Lynn who stole £774 from an elderly woman with dementia has been given a 12-week sentence, suspended for two years, at Norwich Magistrates' Court.
Sarah Louise Fysh, 39, was found guilty of fraud and failure to answer bail in her absence at an earlier hearing. Chairman of the bench Michael Flynn said she had committed a "serious breach of trust" and ordered her to pay £330 compensation to the woman.
The court heard Fysh used the money from Audrey Jobsz's bank card over a nine-month period in 2014.

The former health minister and MP for North Norfolk Norman Lamb has called for cannabis to be legalised.
Image source, PASpeaking in Parliament this afternoon, Mr Lamb said criminal gangs caused misery by growing and supplying the drug, but legalising its use for adults could raise £1bn in tax.
He said his plans would see the drug regulated by the government and would be preferable to the current policy, which he said was not working.

Supporters of East Anglian devolution are lobbying government ministers to intervene to stop the deal from collapsing.
Image source, Norfolk County CouncilThe Chancellor George Osborne announced the proposals for an elected mayor covering Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk in his budget but there are now concerns among local MPs that the plan is starting to unravel.
At Westminster, Conservative MPs from the region have, off the record, used words like "shambles", "dog's dinner" and "not properly thought through" to describe the current state of play.

BBC Radio Sheffield is reporting that Norwich City's young goalkeeper Remi Matthews could be set for a loan move to League One Doncaster Rovers.

Parking warden jobs are to go in north and west Norfolk, it has been announced following a brain storming meeting of councillors.
Councils must save £100,000 on parking costs, but residents and businesses in Hunstanton, Sheringham and Cromer warned that on-street parking meters would hit trade and tourism.
Norfolk's Parking Partnership has decided to cut jobs and new parking schemes, but chairman Mick Castle said drivers would have to accept more charges at some point in the future.

Norwich City have announced that their allocation of tickets for the crucial away game at Crystal Palace on 9 April has sold out.
Supporters who missed out can join a waiting list for any possible returns. City are currently just above the Premier League relegation zone, and five points behind The Eagles.

A brain storming meeting is due to take place in North Norfolk today after a plan to charge for on-street parking in three coastal towns was abandoned.
Image source, PANorfolk's Parking Partnership has told councillors new ways of raising money must be found because parking enforcement is no longer financially viable.
Opposition was so strong to plans for parking meters in Cromer, Hunstanton and Sheringham they were dropped. Local businesses and residents warned the council the meters would damage trade and tourism.
A group of teenagers from Norfolk thought they were going on a stadium tour in Los Angeles - but ended up being coached by Steven Gerrard.

And so, 10 youngsters from Dereham Education and Soccer Academy (DESA) were handed LA Galaxy kit and put to work by Gerrard.

A cast iron collection box found by a Caister lifeboat crew in dunes north of Great Yarmouth may date from 1901, when a disaster cost the lives of nine local men.
In the great storm in November that year the lifeboat Beauchamp set off to answer a distress call but was overturned, trapping crew members underneath.
A collection box was mounted outside the Caister Lifeboat shed to raise money for the widows of the crew who were lost but it disappeared in storms in 1943.
It is believed that box emerged last weekend in the Marram dunes. It is now on display at the Caister Lifeboat Experience.

The East of England Ambulance Service, external says patients who completed a recent survey described the care they received as "brilliant", "excellent" and "first class".
Three hundred and sixty eight patients who were treated in January were sent the survey, external, with 106 completing it. The trust said 98% of respondents said they were either very satisfied, satisfied or fairly satisfied with the level of care received.
Although the majority of the responses were positive, one patient said there had been an "unacceptable length of delay" waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

A peregrine falcon hen nesting with its mate on the steeple at Norwich Cathedral has now laid a second egg.
Image source, Hawk and Owl TrustIt arrived early yesterday morning on their platform and will be treated with care by the hen until she has completed her clutch for the year, the Hawk and Owl Trust said.
The first egg came on Friday and a couple more are still expected. The pair will not start incubating until they are sure they have a clutch, so all will hatch at the same time, the spokesman said.

A row between William Shakespeare and actor Will Kemp is being remembered as part of a BBC project marking 400 years since the Bard's death.
Kemp fell out with Shakespeare during the writing of Hamlet, saying people came to see his comic parts, but the author said there was no place in the tragedy for humour.
In a rage, Kemp morris danced from London to Norwich in 23 days - delayed by frequent visits to ale houses and to women he met along the way.
The journey was recreated by actor and comedian Tim FitzHigham, external, who took nine days to complete the task in 2008. My film about Tim will be on the live page later.
Senior management from Norfolk's fire service are now sharing headquarters with the police in Wymondham.

It's hoped the move will establish a more joined up approach between the two blue light services, and simultaneously provide savings for taxpayers.
