    Police have confirmed the death of a man in Sprowston, near Norwich, is not being treated as suspicious.

    Officers were called to a property in Colindeep Lane at about 10:45 yesterday, where the body of a man in his 50s was found.

    Inquiries carried out at the scene, and the result of a post-mortem examination, police have confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

    State-of-the-art robots are enabling surgeons to carry out more precise keyhole surgery for prostate cancer in Norfolk.

    The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital invested £1m in the robot, which means patients no longer have to travel to London or Cambridgeshire for surgery. 

    Consultant Rob Mills says: "It's very dextrous and it does exactly what we need it to do. It has a very solid platform and then the arms are mobile and they will come out and perch over the patient and have extreme flexibility to move into the position that we want them to be in."

    Great Yarmouth Racecourse has been given the go-ahead to resume racing on 8 June.

    Inspectors from the British Horseracing Authority, external have been looking at the track this week.

    There's been no racing there since last September when the Eastern festival had to be abandoned because of safety concerns after extensive work to level the course.

    King's Lynn Stars, external drew 45-45 with Swindon in speedway's Elite League last night.

    The Stars were four points down going into the final heat but a brilliant overtaking move from youngster Robert Lambert on Jason Doyle saw him clinch second behind team-mate Niels-Kristian Iversen to give Lynn the 5-1 they needed to salvage a draw.

    Iversen was unbeaten all night, returning a 15-point maximum for the Stars.

    Steven Naismith says he doesn't regret signing for Norwich City despite their relegation from the Premier League. 

    The Scotland international joined from Everton in January for about £8m but only scored once and that was on his debut against Liverpool. 

    The 29-year old is currently with the Scotland squad ahead of friendlies against Italy and France.

    Plans for two separate devolution deals for East Anglia have been handed to the government.

    Under the scheme, powers from Whitehall for planning and transport would be transferred to two regional bodies - one covering Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, and another covering Norfolk and Suffolk.

    Although the government has yet to agree to the proposals, negotiations have been described as "positive". It was revealed last week a deal had to be in place by today, but it could be a few weeks until anything is fully signed-off.

    "We should all be offered the same treatment", says a woman from Dereham who's calling on the government to make sure sufferers of a potentially fatal disease receive the help they need.

    Michelle Tolley, who has the blood-borne virus Hepatitis C, says although she's now receiving treatment, many others aren't: "It shouldn't be that when your life's possibly coming to an end then you're allowed treatment.

    "We should all of us be offered the same treatment. At the end of the day it wasn't our fault we were given contaminated bloods."

    NHS England, external says Hepatitis C treatment has been its biggest single investment over the past year and it's working through a backlog of cases.

    A woman from Norfolk is urging the government to take more action to help sufferers of a potentially fatal disease. 

    Michelle Tolley from Dereham contracted Hepatitis C due after a contaminated blood transfusion 25 years ago, but only found out she was infected last year.

    She's now being treated, but says it's taken too long to get to this point: "I've had to push for appointments along the way.

    "I'm actually one of the very lucky ones to be accepted for treatment. All I needed to have was cirrhosis of the liver to get this."

    We'll be starting the day today with news of a Dereham woman's fight to get the government to take more action to help sufferers of Hepatitis C. She contracted it 25 years ago, but only discovered she had the disease last year.

    We'll also bring you news of a protest over payments to people who've been given tainted blood, which is taking place outside David Cameron's constituency office today.
