    More details have been shared about how key workers in Norfolk can get coronavirus tests after complaints that some workers were being asked to travel 100s of miles for them.

    The NHS said key workers with symptoms can either get tested through a dedicated local service or a national system.

    Norfolk's three local testing sites are in Norwich, Gorleston and King's Lynn.

    North Norfolk's Conservative MP Duncan Baker said: "I had emails from constituents saying 'We're in North Walsham and we're being asked to have a test in Scotland'.

    "My first response was to go to the CCG [Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group] and say 'Look this isn't good enough'. I have been able to… make sure they get tested at the local areas."

    While NHS acute hospital staff can use their organisation's existing booking system and all other NHS employees can email NHScovidtesting@nnuh.nhs.uk, external, employers of essential workers - including including care home staff and teachers - should contact NorfolkRegistercovidtesting@nnuh.nhs.uk, external to register their organisations so workers can book local appointments.

    Key workers can also book tests through the national system, and can choose to be sent home kits or travel to regional testing centres in Ipswich, Peterborough or Stansted.

    The chief executive of a hospital said the NHS will never be the same again.

    Anna Hills, from the James Paget Hospital in Norfolk, said phone consultations and video conferencing used during lockdown is here to stay.

    "That sort of innovative, informative way of delivering care - we don't want to go back from," she said.

    She added that all the support the hospital has been receiving, from food to donations to clapping, "really does make a difference".

    Sheringham Little Theatre has teamed up with an international beatboxer for a live-streamed interactive show, which is raising funds for NHS charities.

    SK Shlomo (pictured), who has worked with Ed Sheeran and Lily Allen, will teach vocal skills, showing children in lockdown how to become "superstar beatboxers".

    Over the course of six weeks, for 30 minutes every Thursday at 14:00, Sheringham Little Theatre, external will be playing his free weekly educational show live on its Facebook page, external.

    Each week SK Shlomo will be joined by guests, external including Bastille, KT Tunstall, Bill Bailey, Basement Jaxx, Jason Mraz and BBC Radio 1’s Dr Rahda.

    It is combined with a JustGiving campaign aiming to raise £2,500 for NHS Charities Together.

    A Norfolk family is helping to produce personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep NHS workers safe.

    Simon Marriott, and a team from the College of West Anglia, external, have been making face shields, mask clips and door openers and switch operators using 3D printers.

    The plastic devices, opens doors and turns on switches, to avoid touch contact.

    Summer and Ryan Marriott wanted to help as their aunt is a nurse and told them what she needed.

    "The feedback that we have had from everyone is fantastic, anything that we can produce and send, they just think its fanastic", Simon said.

    "It's a big community spirit that is happening around the area - it's just brilliant."

    Families of children with special educational needs in Norfolk are able to access money usually ring-fenced for clubs and activities, on play equipment for their homes, external.

    The county council said the cash was from its "short breaks fund", which is allocated to more than 900 families in the area.

    Councillor John Fisher said the lockdown was "particularly tough" for children and young people "who so often rely upon routine".

    "Offering families a flexible way in which they can buy the play equipment they need... has been really positive," he added.

    Joe Pope's family bought him a trampoline with the funds. The 13-year-old from Frettenham, who has autism, would usually go to an activity centre for exercise.

    His mother, Claire, said: "Joe needs help to be stimulated to get him to do things and be active, so the trampoline has been absolutely brilliant to give him exercise and make him alert"
