    The chief executive of a theatre that has had to cancel its Christmas panto because of a shortage of cash resulting from the Covid-19 lockdown is delighted the government is going to give the performing arts £1.5bn.

    But Stephen Crocker, from the Theatre Royal Norwich, external, is concerned about future reopening dates.

    "Whilst I hugely welcome this announcement we are still waiting on the details of reopening times for venues and for a lot of us the two things go hand in hand," he said.

    "This is absolutely amazing because it's going to give us, you know, a reprieve.

    "But actually for most of us what we want to do is to get back to what we usually do."
