The Dane's header after 63 minutes opened the scoring in yesterday's 1-1 draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

"It was a brilliant ball [from Jordan Spence] and I took a chance when I saw the ball coming in," Knudsen told BBC Suffolk Sport.

"I thought it was a good situation for me. It wasn't the easiest ball to head in, but I did it and it was nice. You saw how important it was for the fans."

  2. Action off the pitchpublished at 09:40 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

Carrow Road was packed yesterday - and not just the stadium.

Pre and post-match, fans from Norwich City and Ipswich Town showed support for their teams.

Police have already praised both sets of fans for the generally friendly atmosphere, although they did say there were some "minor" incidents.

  3. Bed-blocker patient ends hunger strikepublished at 09:34 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

A man who'd become one of Britain's longest staying bed-blockers has ended his hunger strike .

Adriano Guedes 64, who's paralysed from the chest down, had spent more than two years in a bed at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.

The hospital had to get a court order to evict him .

Following the eviction, Mr Guedes refused to eat for 24 days, surviving on fruit juice, saying he's isolated in his flat in Lowestoft.

Exasperated by the health and social care system, he withdrew his co-operation, and turned down offers of care and accommodation after he was evicted, claiming they were not "wheelchair friendly".

The BBC put him in touch with patients' rights campaigner Patrick Thompson, and after they met Mr Guedes has now agreed to end his hunger strike.

  4. 'We should have buried them' - Derby draw a fair result?published at 09:25 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

Jacob Murphy rescued a point for Norwich City as they came back from a goal down against Ipswich in the East Anglian derby.

There were not too many happy faces outside Carrow Road following the match, and the general consensus on Canary Call amongst City fans was that a draw was disappointing -- but the play off dream is still alive.

    Here's a few of your post-match comments:

    • It was a very good goal, he's good at taking his chances, he's a proper goal scorer but there's not enough of them on the team
    • I thought Norwich had the better chances in the first half, they should have sewed it up by half time... but the draw was a fair result
    • Draws are disappointing... wins are more important, we need more points
    • We should have buried them, they were nowhere as good a team as us... we should've taken advantage of that
    • I think Mick McCarthy will be the happier boss, the first half should have done for Norwich, they had the much better chances, a better side... Ipswich got back into it when they got their goal... did they deserve it? No

  6. Derby goal 'inspired by Redmond' - Jacob Murphypublished at 09:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

    Chris Goreham
    BBC Radio Norfolk sport

Norwich City needed a second half equaliser from Jacob Murphy to salvage their eight-year unbeaten record against local rivals Ipswich Town.

The 22-year-old winger (pictured) struck to make it 1-1 at Carrow Road six minutes after Town had taken the lead with their only shot on target of the match.

"I'd watched the goals from the previous game and Nath [Nathan Redmond] scored one at his near post so that was the thought process behind that one," said Murphy.

The goal was a rare blemish from Ipswich's Bartosz Bialkowski who pulled off a string of fine saves to keep Norwich at bay.

  7. Celebrations for Ipswich Town's goalpublished at 09:08 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy said before yesterday's derby game at Carrow Road, that he'd be happy with a point.

It looks as if fans were happy too, when Jonas Knudsen broke the deadlock between the two sides in the 63rd minute, which was, by general concensus, against the run of play :

  9. Norwich City manager disappointed by Derby drawpublished at 08:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

    Chris Goreham
    BBC Radio Norfolk sport

Norwich City's Alex Neil told me that he felt his side had done enough to earn more than just a point from the East Anglian derby against Ipswich Town.

The Canaries had to settle for a 1-1 draw after a Jacob Murphy equaliser.

They failed to make the most of their dominance during the game and found Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski in inspired form.

"I thought we deserved a win," said Neil.

"We just lacked that cutting edge that we've had in most games this season and, when we did threaten to score, their keeper pulled off three really, really good saves."

  10. Ipswich Town back to their 'horrible' best in derby draw - McCarthy published at 08:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2017

    Brenner Woolley
    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

Ipswich Town, external boss Mick McCarthy told me on Thursday he'd be happy with a point from yesterday's East Anglian derby, and that's exactly what he got.

It finished 1-1 between Town and Norwich City at Carrow Road , thanks partly to another goalkeeping masterclass from Blues stopper Bartosz Bialkowski.

"We never really got the ball down and passed it for long periods of time, but the goal we scored was the best passage of play we'd had," said McCarthy.

"We've had to defend and be resolute and tough and organised.

"All of those horrible things people don't like when you are getting beat, but when you come to Norwich and get a point we all respect those qualities."
