  1. Thank you for joining us

We're about to bring our live coverage to an end. Thank you for joining us.

But we'll bring you news of any further developments on the BBC Norfolk page.

This page was edited by Jon Welch, with reporting by Kathryn Hamlett, Rachael McMenemy and James Gregory.

  2. What support is available?

About 170,000 people go missing each year, according to the charity Missing People.

The charity believes this number is likely to be a "significant underestimate".

Missing People offers a confidential, free, 24/7 lifeline for people who run away and go missing each year in the UK. Help and support is available via the BBC Action Line.

  3. Police 'learning lessons from Nicola Bulley case'

Police in Norfolk said they had been in touch with detectives at Lancashire Police to understand "any of the lessons learned" from Nicola Bulley's disappearance.

Ms Bulley, 45, disappeared in January after dropping her two daughters off at school in the Lancashire village of St Michael's on Wyre.

Her mobile phone was found on a river bank and her body was found in the river three weeks later.

Last month, the College of Policing published a report that criticised the media strategy during the search for Ms Bulley.

During the search in Norwich for Ms Lord, search teams from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were also spotted at New Mills Yard pumping station.

  4. Gaynor Lord's behaviour 'couldn't be explained'

    Ch Supt Dave Buckley

Norfolk Police said on Thursday they "can't explain" some of Ms Lord's behaviour on the day she went missing, including why she left work early.

"Nobody knows why she's done what she's done and we'll just have to work to see if we can find out," Ch Supt Dave Buckley said yesterday.

  5. Friend 'feels terrible' about last call

    Julie Butcher

Ms Lord called a friend about only 30 minutes before she left work early last Friday.

Julie Butcher told the BBC on Thursday that she "feels terrible" after cutting the phone call short to take a work call.

She tried calling Ms Lord back but was unable to reach her.

Ms Butcher, who spoke to officers on Saturday, also received a "pocket call" from Ms Lord at about 16:15 GMT on Friday, where she could just hear movement.

Ms Butcher said: "I keep going over the conversation. If I hadn't answered that call [from the client] would she have talked to me? I feel terrible. I feel so sorry for the family."

She said Ms Lord seemed "fine" when they last met at her workplace, Jarrolds department store in Norwich, on Tuesday 5 December.

She said: "We were talking. She was a bit busy but we were talking about Christmas and she seemed fine, no different to the usual Gaynor. She was quite upbeat and happy."

  6. Gaynor Lord: What do we know about missing woman?

Police have not formally identified the body of the woman found in the river near to St Martins Close in Norwich, but Gaynor Lord's family have been informed.

We still do not know much about Ms Lord.

She is a 55, a mother of three and a retail assistant on the Bullards Gin counter in the basement of Jarrolds department store in Norwich, where she was working on the day of her disappearance.

CCTV footage showed her making her way through the city towards Wensum Park.

  7. A case that has affected the whole of Norwich

    Navtej Johal

    News correspondent

The mood has turned sombre here since we learned that a body was discovered in the water by police searching for Gaynor Lord.

People have begun leaving flowers outside Wensum Park, where the 55-year-old was last seen.

One woman told me she wanted to lay a bouquet for Gaynor because “we look after our own here” in Norwich.

This is a case that appears to have affected the whole city.

One resident told me “everybody has been talking about it” this week.

The discovery of this body will upset many of those following the events of the last few days who have been thinking about Gaynor and her family.

  8. Drone photos show search area from above

Police searching for Gaynor Lord recovered a body from the River Wensum, a short distance downstream from Wensum Park where she was last seen.

It's a quiet stretch of river to the north of Norwich city centre.

Drone pictures show the scene, looking south. In the background, to the left, is the spire of Norwich Cathedral, in the centre is Norwich Castle and, just to the right of the centre, is the City Hall clock tower.

  10. Map shows key locations in search and body find

Gaynor Lord left work at Jarrolds department store in Norwich through a loading bay in Bedford Street at about 14:45 GMT last Friday.,

She was due to finish work at 16:00.

CCTV showed her making her way through the city and towards Wensum Park.

The park and River Wensum became the focus of the search.

A female body was found in the river, near St Martins Close, about 500m (1,640ft) from where Ms Lord was last seen on CCTV on St Augustines Street, and about 400m (1,310 ft) downstream from where her clothes and belonging were found in Wensum Park.

  11. Post-mortem examination to be held

A post-mortem examination would take place to "establish means of death" of the body of a woman found in the River Wensum, police have said.

  12. Plenty of unanswered questions remain

    Navtej Johal

    News correspondent

There are plenty of unanswered questions and lots of speculation about why Gaynor Lord left work early; what was happening to her, whether there had been a significant moment.

There will be a lot of focus on those questions.

At the moment, it's pretty clear from the police that they do not believe anybody else was involved and that she didn't meet anyone else in the city centre.

There is a lot of shock in Norwich - a relatively small city, where a lot of people do know each other.

The footage that we saw this week of Gaynor Lord walking through the city centre is very familiar to the people who live around here - they know these streets well. It's a story that has dominated the local media.

Lancashire Police's involvement in this case has been significant. Nicola Bulley's case from earlier this year has some similarities.

  13. Gaynor Lord 'did not meet anyone' on way to park

CH Supt Dave Buckley giving a news conference

Ch Supt Buckley says the investigation "remains a missing person" case.

He said, based on the available evidence, the force did not believe she met anyone on her way to Wensum Park.

He said police would remain "open-minded" and "pursue all lines of inquiry to ascertain why she went missing."

He added: "While this is not the outcome we wished for, our search has always predominantly focused on the river and the park."

  14. 'Detailed and methodical search'

Ch Supt Buckley said specialist divers found the body of a female in the River Wensum after a "detailed and methodical search".

Work was ongoing to establish its identity, Ch Supt Buckley added.

  15. News conference finished

The news conference has finished. It was very brief, lasting just a couple of minutes.

Ch Supt Dave Buckley made a brief statement but did not take questions from reporters.

  16. 'No third-party involvement'

Ch Supt Dave Buckley says police are "keeping an open mind" about Ms Lord's disappearance.

He said there is "no evidence of third-party involvement".

  17. Watch the news conference live
