    The body was found in an area of the river close near to St Martins Close in Norwich, approximately 100m (328ft) from where Thursday's search was centred.

    It is about 500m (1,640ft) from where Ms Lord was last seen on CCTV on St Augustines Street, and about 400m (1,310) downstream from Wensum Park, where her clothes and belongings were found.

    Officers from Norfolk Police previously said there was a "high probability" Ms Lord had gone into the river

    In a press conference on Thursday, Ch Supt Dave Buckley said: "Everything we know is pointing to a high probability that Gaynor went into the water.

    "Nobody saw her go into the river but we know she ended up in the park.".

    Yesterday he described the underwater searches as "extraordinarily challenging" due to limited visibility.

    A member of the public found some of 55-year-old Ms Lord's possessions scattered in Wensum Park at about 20:00 GMT on Friday.

    Items included her mobile phone, glasses and jewellery. Her olive-coloured coat was later discovered in the water.

    Officers were able to identify Ms Lord's belongings via an ID badge found in her handbag.

    She worked as a retail assistant on a gin concession at Jarrolds department store in Norwich city centre.

    Ms Lord had been due to finish work at 16:00 GMT last Friday but left via a loading bay at 14:45.

    Some of her belongings were then found in Wensum Park, close to the River Wensum, at 20:00 the same day.

    Ms Lord left work early with no explanation.

    A large search operation started on Friday after Gaynor Lord went missing.

    She called friend Julie Butcher and had a brief conversation, before leaving work early, at about 14:45 GMT.

    Subsequent CCTV footage showed her rushing around parts of Norwich, including the cathedral, before finally heading towards Wensum Park.

    She was last seen on CCTV on St Augustines Street in the city.

    A witness said she saw a woman, she believed to be Ms Lord, doing a "yoga pose" in Wensum Park.

    Her disappearance was described as "out of character" by those who knew her.

    It comes after the force said that while the body found in the Wensum had not yet been formally identified yet, Ms Lord's family had been informed.

    At about 11:00 GMT there was a burst of police activity around a small section of the River Wensum.

    I saw officers, divers and forensics vehicles arrive at short notice and St Martin’s Road was cordoned off.

    A boat with three officers on board went into the river, with a diver entering the water a few hundred metres away from where the focus of the police activity was yesterday.

    It was clear something significant was happening.

    Police have now confirmed that a body has been recovered, a week on from when Gaynor Lord went missing.

    Shortly before reports a body a been found in the search for mother-of-three Gaynor Lord, increased activity was seen in and around the River Wensum in Norwich.

    An orange buoy was placed in the river and divers were seen entering the water.

    An inflatable boat was also seen being taken to the water.

    Earlier today an orange buoy was placed in the river, approximately 100m (328 ft) from where Thursday's search was focused in the river.

    An Environment Agency search boat was then stationed next to the buoy as a dive team arrived just after 11:00 GMT.

    Norfolk Police says a body was discovered by search teams this morning and has now been recovered from the water.

    Formal identification has not taken place but Ms Lord's family have been informed, the force said.
