    A woman has suffered minor injuries after a three-vehicle crash on the A1 near Markham Moor.

    Nottinghamshire Police said they were called at about 11:45.

    Planning permission has been granted for about 800 homes to be built at the former Thoresby Colliery near Mansfield.

    Redevelopment plans also include 250,000 sq foot of employment space.

    The 450-acre site will include a retirement village, a primary school, a business park, leisure facilities, and a 300-acre country park.

    It is expected to create up to 500 jobs and the first phase will see 150 homes on sale by the end of next year.

    However, Property regeneration firm The Harworth Group which bought the site in 2015, said the whole project might not be finished for a decade.

    In the last couple of hours Melton Mowbray's Claire Lomas has finished the Great South Run after walking through the night.

    The former horse rider is paralysed from the chest down but was able to walk the 10 miles using a specialist suit.

    Officers believe two teenage boys who have been missing for almost a week may have returned to Worksop.

    Judge Oliver, 13, and Kyle Scott, 14, were last seen at Worksop railway station catching a train to Sheffield at about 17:00 on Tuesday.

    It's thought Judge and Kyle then caught a train to Birmingham before returning to the town at the weekend.

    Judge was last seen wearing a black Nike puffa jacket, grey Nike tracksuit bottoms, grey and black Nike trainers with a black Nike backpack and black Nike cap.

    CCTV footage has been released after a man was assaulted during a robbery in Nottingham.

    Nottinghamshire Police said a 31-year-old man was attacked when two men approached him and demanded his personal belongings.

    The victim refused and was then attacked with a broken bottle.

    It happened in St Mary's Gate on 18 August at about 05:00.

    A man has died and a second has suffered serious injuries after a head-on crash just outside New Whittington.

    The two cars hit each other on Whittington Road just after 17:00 yesterday.

    The driver of one car, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 72-year-old man, who was driving the other car, was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Sheffield where he remains in a critical condition.

    Secret filming shows how an undercover BBC reporter was able to buy Class A drugs listed on the website Craigslist.

    Jonathan Gibson bought cocaine from a dealer in Derby, illegal cigarettes from men in Corby and Carlisle, and was offered a stolen passport from a man in Chatham, Kent. Such items are supposedly prohibited from being offered in classified advertisements on the site.

    Craigslist was contacted by the BBC but has declined to comment.

    A new mural has been created in Leicester marking one of the entrances into Aylestone Meadows.

    The mural features some of the animal life that can be seen on the meadows like longhorn cattle, hares, ducks and dragonflies.

    It was designed and created by local artist Leigh Drummond.

    It happened in Crown Farm Way near Bellamy Island in Mansfield on 14 October but police have only just released details.
