The American Adventure theme park may be long gone but part of it lives on in a Derbyshire suburb.

When the park closed in 2007, large parts of it were auctioned off - including this log flume boat which now sits in front of a house in Alfreton.

It belonged to the mother of Lorraine Pyke, from Sutton-in-Ashfield, who's now trying to find a new home for the carbon fibre boat following her death.

She told BBC Radio Nottingham: "My mum's husband was a bit of a one for buying absolute anything he could on eBay.

"He saw this one day, bid on it and won it - so he had to go and dig it out of a guy's garden in Ilkeston.

"He turned it into a working fish pond and my mum absolutely adored it."

She continued: "But at the minute it's just a memorial and it's got to go. There are so many things people could do with it.

"It would be nice to know it's going somewhere where it can still be viewed and enjoyed."
