One of Nottingham's greatest success stories is the focus of a new TV drama.
Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's tale from humble beginnings in Nottingham to medal-winning successes at the OIympics will feature in a two-hour film on ITV.
It's written by Southwell-born Billy Ivory (below), whose repertoire includes Made in Dagenham and Common as Muck.
Game of Thrones actor Will Tudor will play Dean, while Ackley Bridge star Poppy Lee Friar will play Torvill.
It also stars Anita Dobson, Stephen Tompkinson and Jo Hartley in supporting roles.
The ice dancing duo, who won gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics, spent hours being interviewed by Ivory.
They said they were "honoured" to share their "passion for skating, the life-long friendship that came through our sport and everything that it took to achieve our eventual goal of becoming Olympic champions".
Filming starts in the next few days, according to the Press Association.
