Residents in Sandiacre have come together to support a campaign for CCTV to be installed near a local park to help tackle anti-social behaviour.
The petition was started by 16-year-old Holly Wilds after "multiple attacks in the area".
She said: "It's starting to make us fear going outside. I don't feel safe going to the bus stop and I'm sure a lot of other people don't either."
Jo Webb's 19-year-old son was attacked in Springfield Park last week.
She said he was surrounded by about 14 lads and then kicked and punched in a "random attack". She said she's not slept properly since the attack and she's stopped all her children from going to the area.
Jo said: "It's frustrating as parents because it feels like nothing is being done and there's been more attacks since."
Quote MessageAnti-social behaviour is something we take very seriously as a force. We work hard to investigate and deter those responsible for this type of behaviour however, we can only do this with the help of the local community. In order to understand the full extent of the problem all instances of anti-social behaviour should be reported to us using the non-emergency 101 number."
