A group of villagers in Leicestershire are considering setting up a nightly patrol - complete with uniforms.
Some residents in Rothley have said they're becoming increasingly frustrated damage to cars, property and anti-social behaviour.
Sarah Little said the patrol group would have a phone number for people to call if they have a crime concern.
She said: "We're not asking for vigilantes, we're not asking for people to get hands-on.
"We're saying that by continuing to patrol the area and giving a visual present it will deter people from coming here to commit crime."
Ms Little wants the volunteers to be recognisable in a uniform and to wear body cameras to provide police with the evidence needed for a conviction.
Leicestershire Police said it wasn't aware of significant crime issues in the area.
A spokesman said: "We fully support the work of our voluntary neighbourhood watch schemes and would urge local residents to register and become involved with them."
Notts County owner Alan Hardy says he has accepted an offer to buy the troubled League Two club.

Nottingham Trent University and Loughborough University have developed a way scanners can be used by police to spot weapons hidden underneath clothing.
It's hoped the scanning technology used through mobile phones could reduce the number of stabbings and unnecessary stop and searches.
Researchers say initial tests show the cameras can detect concealed knives from up to six metres away through trousers, heavy coats and hidden under belts - but does not show any private body parts.
Professor Amin Al-Habaibeh, from Nottingham Trent University, said: “Our design is extremely cost-effective as it is based on existing technologies and ultimately could be made available through every day mobile phones.”
Dr Ashraf El-Hamalawi, of Loughborough University, added: “This technology may act as a deterrent and aid with knife crime detection, and maybe it has the potential to save lives."

Leicestershire Police's chief constable has defended the force after it was found to have the widest pay gaps between men and women in the country.
The latest figures show that women at Leicestershire Police earn 68p for every £1 that a man earns.
Simon Cole said the figures don't hold water, because they don't reflect the demographics of the force.
He said: "We have lots of people joining the organisation who compared to the past, more of them are female.
"Obviously they join and get paid what Parliament and regulations decide people get paid.
"Unsurprisingly, and in common with pretty much every profession, when you join you get paid less then as you develop your career and have more skills."
