Man injured and house damaged in Rotherham gas explosionpublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 11 July 2016
A man has been injured in a gas explosion at a house in Rawmarsh.
Three fire engines were called to the property in Woodleys Avenue at 18:45 yesterday evening and firefighters found the building badly damaged and a small fire in the living room.
The explosion is believed to have been caused accidentally by a camping gas cylinder.
The injured man was taken to hospital. It is not known how serious his injuries are.
