South Yorkshire's being warned it could lose as much as £94m of EU funding - if the government doesn't promise to protect it when we leave the EU.

The Local Government Association says that regions who haven't allocated money for specific projects in their area by a set date could lose that funding altogether - and it'll just go straight to the Treasury when we leave the EU.

Imagine it like this: The EU gave South Yorkshire a big I.O.U note - and now that could all be ripped up.

There's a 24-hour bin strike in Sheffield today.

It is asking residents who are due a black bin collection not to place their bins out today, but instead put them out before 07:00 on Saturday 22 October.

Residents expecting a green garden waste bin collection are asked to place them out as normal, although their collection will be delayed.

If any bins or boxes have not been emptied today, residents are asked to leave them out for collection, as the firm will be deploying extra crews during the week and aim to finish by Saturday.
