    He successfully dunked a biscuit in a brew from 73m (240ft).

    A homeless man has been told not to bring his dogs along when he sells The Big Issue on The Moor in Sheffield.

    Mark Sherrington says he's being discriminated against by the owners of the shopping area, and says he now can't afford to eat.

    But Aberdeen Asset Management - which owns The Moor - says all Big Issue sellers are asked not to bring their dogs as they could cause nuisance or distress to passers-by.

    Family at the scene of a fatal house fire in Rotherwood Crescent in Thurcroft last night have named the woman who died as 37-year-old Margaret Appleby.

    Her 57-year-old mother, Jean Maskrey, escaped the blaze and has been taken to hospital.

    Three people were arrested on Rustlings Road in Sheffield this morning after contractors moved in with chainsaws and felled several trees. 

    South Yorkshire Police said: "Twelve officers have provided assistance on Rustlings Road this morning at the request of the council. 

    "We have a small presence to ensure the safety of local residents and contractors whilst the work is carried out. 

    "Three people have been arrested on suspicion of preventing lawful work under Section 241 of the Trade Union and Relation Act 1982."

    Nick Clegg has hit out at Sheffield City Council for cutting down tress in Rustlings Road in the early hours of this morning.

    He said the way the council acted was 'inexcusable' and it will increase tension in the area.

    The council says it carried out the work very early on the advice of police to make sure it could be done safely.

    Whether you think the trees need to come down or not, the way the Council have acted is inexcusable. Sheffield's Labour leaders have shown that they willing to go to any lengths in their tree felling mission against the wishes of the community, using disproportionate and underhand tactics to get their own way. Relationships between residents and the Council are already strained over this issue and this will only inflame tensions further."

    A woman has died following a blaze at a house in Thurcroft last night. 

    It happened at a property in Rotherwood Crescent - four fire crews were called at about 21:45.

    One woman managed to escape and was taken to hospital, but another was found dead inside. 

    An investigation is expected to begin later.
