    Post-mortem examinations will take place this morning after two bodies were found on an industrial estate near Burton.

  7. Trains in Staffordshire disrupted after Storm Barneypublished at 08:50

    No trains are running between Lichfield Trent Valley and Birmingham New Street after a tree fell through overhead wires in high winds.

    Buses are running between Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield City, and Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley.

    The issues were caused as Storm Barney hit the area with winds of up to 70mph.

  9. Storm Barney brings trees down in Staffordshire and Cheshirepublished at 08:32

    A number of trees were brought down overnight in our area by Storm Barney as it made its way across the UK.

    In Staffordshire the fire service told me they had a lot of calls but no serious incidents - while the county's police shut the A513 in Shugborough, external for some time for "weather related safety reasons". 

    Cheshire Police says trees came down in several areas, external including Brereton and Scholar Green
