A naturalist from Staffordshire is embarking on a 500-mile walk to raise funds to help save the endangered curlew.
Mary Colwell is following the path of the bird from Ireland, through Wales, to East Anglia.
The curlew, Europe's largest wading bird, has a long down-curved bill and evocative call.
It was once a common sight across the Staffordshire Moorlands and other upland areas, but its numbers are in steep decline.
As parking charges seem set to rise in Lichfield, council chiefs are hoping an online questionnaire will help them gauge public feeling, external about the proposed changes.

A Stoke-on-Trent man is hoping to win over culinary judges this week with his skills in the kitchen.
Joseph Bailey, from Baddeley Green, is in the regional finals of the Roux Scholarship, external, a prestigious cooking competition.

A 1000-space car park is opening in Stafford next week as part of a new retail and leisure scheme.
The waterfront car park overlooks the new £70m Riverside development and the site's first shops should open this summer.
The project will also include a six-screen cinema.

A woman has been bitten by a dog while she was jogging in Hednesford, according to police.
It happened on Friday say Staffordshire Police, external, at the junction of Station Road and Rugeley Road.
Officers say the owner of the two black Doberman-type dogs was riding on a bike with the dogs on extendable leads - he continued towards Station Road.
The force say the woman needed to have puncture wounds assessed at Cannock's minor injuries unit.

A man who died after he was hit by a motorbike while crossing the road in Crewe has been named by police.
Cheshire Police, external say he was Darren Moore, who was 47, of Fairburn Avenue.
The collision happened on Friday morning, outside the entrance to Queens Park.

Work is still ongoing to make sure no more oil gets into local waterways after a major fire in Stafford almost a fortnight ago, according to the Environment Agency.
The organisation says it is working with warehouse owners Global Hygiene on a "pollution prevention plan" after the fire on 2 March at Astonfields, captured above by the Express & Star newspaper, which involved around 40,000 litres of oil.
Meanwhile Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has still not been revealed what caused the blaze at the industrial cleaning supply firm site.

A male and female peregrine falcon pair have been spotted up at the Roaches in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, external, which manages the area, say the birds are the same couple who raised their family there last year.
They say it's very rare to see peregrine falcons breed in what should be their natural habitat and the trust is looking for volunteers to ensure the protected birds stay safe.
