Delays are continuing after a lorry fire on the M6 in Staffordshire this morning, with heavy traffic reported around Stafford, external as drivers try to avoid the motorway.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called at 05:13 to the northbound carriageway between junctions 14 and 15.
Highways England say the northbound carriageway is still closed as they work to clear and repair the route, and that surrounding roads remain "heavily congested".
