    It'll be a windy night with a few scattered showers, but these will become more isolated with clear spells developing. Winds will gradually ease, and it will become cold as temperatures fall to 1C (34F).

    Much of Tuesday will be dry with sunny spells, but it will turn cloudier through the afternoon, with the chance of one or two showers, especially towards the evening.

    The Environment Agency has issued two flood alerts, external for Suffolk - one for the coast from Felixstowe to Clacton, including the Orwell and Stour Estuaries, and one for the Deben Estuary.

    The alerts are in place until 01:30 tomorrow.

    A blind army veteran from Lowestoft has received life-changing help after hearing about a military charity on BBC Radio Suffolk

    Len Bird, 91, who was a despatch rider in World War Two, began to lose his sight in his 50s when he was diagnosed with glaucoma. Then he heard about Blind Veterans UK, external, and decided to join.

    He said: "The welfare officer called to see me and said 'Would you like to go on an induction course?' It was rather sudden and I thought 'Well, I've got to do something' so I went. Best thing I ever did."

    Ipswich Wanderers, external will travel to Essex side Bowers & Pitsea tomorrow night for their FA Vase fifth round replay.

    That's after the two sides drew 1-1 at Humber Doucy Lane on Saturday.

    The winners will host Kidlington in the quarter-finals on 20 February.

    Residents in Forest Heath will not be facing a council tax rise, if councillors sign off their budget, external on Wednesday.

    They're looking at freezing it, despite a £1m budget gap, and say they can make up the savings by looking at contracts, staffing and their property assets.

    St Edmundsbury Borough Council, which has a budget gap of £1.9m, will be deciding, external whether to increase its council tax by 1.99%.

    Saturday's man of the match Bartosz Bialkowski is keen to give Ipswich Town, external boss Mick McCarthy a selection headache when first-choice Dean Gerken is available again.

    The Pole - who's currently deputising for the injured Gerken - was outstanding at QPR, making a number of top quality saves.

    "I'm just trying to do my job as best as I can, taking it one game at a time and then we'll see," Bialkowski said. "Obviously I want to play but so does Deano; it's good competition for one place."

    Pastor Mike Smith, who runs the foodbank, says they're giving out two tonnes of food every month to those who can't afford to eat, twice as much as when they launched the service three years ago.

    He explains: "The things we're really desperate for this week are tins of fruit, tins of meat, potatoes, tomatoes... Anything in that sort of food ranges we're really short of - shelves are empty."

    Ipswich Town, external manager Mick McCarthy has praised Saturday's man of the match at QPR, Bartosz Bialkowski.

    The final scoreline of 1-0 could have been a lot worse for Town had it not been for the Polish goalkeeper, making only his second league appearance since August.

    "He was incredible, I thought," McCarthy said. "He had a wonderful first half and I was delighted with him - I was relieved to go in at 0-0."
