"I'll never forget these days," an emotional Kayden Jackson tells BBC Radio Suffolk.

The 30-year-old forward has been at Ipswich for almost six years and has made 81 appearances under Kieran McKenna over the past two seasons to help Town to back-to-back promotions.

"If he asked me to run through a brick wall, I'd do it for him in a heartbeat," he says.

"It's not lost on me what could have happened if I'd gone elsewhere on the back of what was a miserable time at the club and I'm just happy to be here with the boss to experience everything we've experienced in the last two years."

    Rory Baker

Eighteen month old Rory Baker was none too happy at having to stop an impromptu game of football with dad Charlie as they waited for the parade to arrive.

"He's seen better Ipswich football in the last few months than I've seen in the whole of my life - he's very lucky, but he doesn't know it yet," joked Charlie.

"People say to me 'is he going to be an Ipswich fan?' - he has to be an Ipswich fan. I've been coming with my Dad for 22 years and I needed to bring him here [today]."

He added: "I was on a stag-do and so devastated not to be here [on Saturday]. I knew exactly what was going on, don't worry about that."

They were at the ground after Ipswich went up to the Premier League in 2000 and now they've brought their children Rosie and Holly, aged 4 and 2, along to join the latest promotion party.

"We met through the football - we saw each other, smiled. At the wedding we had a Matt Holland table, Micky Stockwell, Shefki [Kuqi], all the old players," said Kirsty, 37.

"We had to bring them down here to experience what we did 24 years ago."

So who are their favourite players? "We want to see Wes Burns and Sam Morsy."

Leo, 10, is hoping there might be a chance to get his Ipswich shirt signed by some of the players during the parade.

He has come along with dad Andy and elder brother Oscar, 12, who said: "It's absolutely unbelievable to see this happening to Ipswich again - 22 years of hurt, we've been through a lot of dark times but Kieran McKenna has been absolutely magical for this club.

"It's so great to see Ipswich back where we belong, in the Prem. It's great for the town as well to be back in this position."

Andy added: "Ipswich have come from the doldrums to Premier League status. So much credit to Kieran McKenna, the board, the investors, the CEO - it's a generational moment, I would say."
