    The Westminster attacker Khalid Masood is believed to have stayed at the Preston Park Hotel in Brighton before he launched his attack, according to BBC sources.

    The man behind Wednesday's terror attack in London stayed in Brighton the night before it happened, it has emerged.

    Khalid Masood is also believed to have lived at various addresses across Sussex.

    The 52-year-old drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before fatally stabbing a policeman.

    Last night police confirmed a 75-year-old man had died in hospital, taking the death toll to five.
