  2. Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash with tractorpublished at 07:31 British Summer Time 2 October 2017

    A motorcyclist's been airlifted to hospital in Brighton after colliding with a tractor in Camber.

    It happened in Lydd Road, close to the village memorial hall, around 14:00 BST on Saturday.

    The motorcyclist, who's from Rye, was riding a Triumph TT600, which collided with a John Deere tractor.

    The road was closed for four hours, and a man has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

  4. Holidaymakers stranded as airline collapsespublished at 06:47 British Summer Time 2 October 2017

    Monarch Airlines has ceased trading and all of its future bookings have been cancelled, the Civil Aviation Authority has said.

    Eleven Monarch flights were due to take off from Gatwick this morning to locations including Gran Canaria, Mallorca and Gibraltar.

    Six return flights were also due, and the Civil Aviation Authority has chartered more than 30 aircraft to fly stranded customers home.
