    Police are hunting two men who forced their way into a house in Dover and attacked the owner.

    He handed over a large amount of cash when the pair threatened him, along with a laptop and mobile.

    The robbery happened in Tower Hill at about 22:30 GMT on 7 December.

    A man has been rescued from the sea off Brighton Palace Pier.

    At about 13:00 GMT today, Sussex Police asked HM Coastguard for assistance after receiving reports that there was a person in the water.

    Shoreham Coastguard Rescue Team along with the Shoreham RNLI Lifeboats were sent to the scene, with Sussex Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

    A man, believed to be in his 20s, has been rescued and detained under the Mental Health Act.

    A pilot taken off a flight from Gatwick Airport over fears he was drunk has been released while investigations continue, Sussex Police said.

    A 49-year-old man was removed from the plane on Thursday after concerns were raised by a member of airline staff.

    The man from Harmondsworth, West Drayton in West London was arrested on suspicion of performing an aviation function when the level of alcohol was over the prescribed limit.

    The Boeing 777 which was scheduled to depart at 20:50 GMT took off just before 23:00 after the pilot was replaced, British Airways said.

    An airline spokesman said: "We are taking this matter extremely seriously."

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure in Folkestone.

    Kent Police had received reports of a man in a silver or grey car approaching people and then exposing himself.

    No physical contact has been reported.

    A 53-year-old man from Hythe was arrested on Friday and has been released pending further enquiries, Kent Police said.

    The 15-year-old had been missing from her home for a week when she was found on Saturday 20 January.

    The RMT union has criticised the Transport Secretary ahead of his appearance before a committee of MPs.

    The union attacked Chris Grayling over a number of issues including his "failure to take action to tackle problems at the Southern rail franchise".

    The union has been locked in a long and bitter dispute with the rail company over the role of guards.

    Mr Grayling will be questioned by the Transport Select Committee over the controversial decision not to go ahead with three rail electrification schemes.
