    Seagulls fans heading north for Saturday's match are being warned of a motorway closure which could cause delays.

    Resurfacing work on the M23 between junctions nine and 10 means the London-bound section of the motorway will be closed from 22:00 GMT today and 04:00 GMT on Monday 15 January.

    Diversions will be in place.

    The M23 near Gatwick Airport will be closed this weekend and the following three weekends while resurfacing work is carried out.

    The northbound carriageway will close between junction 10 at Crawley and Junction 9 at Gatwick Airport at 22:00 GMT tonight until 04:00 GMT on Monday.

    In addition to this, no trains will run between Three Bridges and Brighton or Three Bridges and Lewes.

    Instead, replacement buses will be provided for passengers.

    People using Gatwick airport are being warned to allow extra time to get there.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the face and chest in Bexhill.

    The incident took place at about 13:30 GMT on Sunday 6 January following a dispute between three men in a car, parked on Preston Road.

    The victim, 34, later got out of the car having suffered stab wounds in the chest and face.

    He is now recovering in hospital.

    A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and driving under the influence of drugs.

    He has been released under investigation.
