While the jabs began in hospitals earlier this week, GP surgeries in the South East had their first doses delivered on Thursday.
The team from the Meads Medical Centre took the vaccine to Saxon Court care home in Buxted where they vaccinated 20 elderly people and their carers.
GP Dr Andrew Duckworth said: "To be able to give them the first jab relatively early and to keep them safe is a privilege."
Practice manager Charlotte Luck and her team worked around the clock on the logistics. She said "it’s a real game changer" for them and "makes everyone feel so much more protected".
Local NHS bosses say many more GP-led services will go live in the next few days.
Ex-officer Derek Seekings was described as "reprehensible" by Surrey Police after his conviction.
